This fine example of a roadside 1920s-style alehouse has an historic interior and is rated at three stars on CAMRA’s National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. The front bar can be very boisterous at times, with large screen for sports, while the rear rooms are more peaceful. Notice the fine wood panelling and superb fireplace in the rear bar.
