Branch Treasure Hunt

Saturday 30 September 2023 20:00

A treasure hunt to involve several pubs at your own leisure! Attendees will have between 12pm and 5pm to visit four mystery pubs that can be identified by solving clues to reveal your pub crawl. On the day, head over to The Wellington on Bennett's Hill (I'm sure you're all familiar) and find Ash Corbett-Collins at the bar wearing a bright yellow CAMRA t-shirt. He will provide a route for you to solve. Each route will have four pubs listed with a cryptic clue. For example, The Rouge Leo would be a clue for The Red Lion. Or Vicky's Limbs would be the Queen Victoria Arms. Once you've worked out your first pub, head there and have a pint (or soft drink) and work out the clue to the question for your pub. After you've visited all four pubs and found out the four different answers you need, head back to the Wellington to check your answers and find out if you've gotten it right! The routes and pubs crossover one another, so you'll likely run into CAMRA friends on your trip, so be sure to say hello. He has also got different routes that take into account any mobility or accessibility requirements, so please let me know on the day and I'll do my best to accommodate.

It's a £1 to enter (or £1 per team member). At 5pm he will conduct a draw of the individuals or teams who successfully got all four pubs/questions right and randomly select three to win a prize!
